Drumroll please……

And the numbers are in! This year we will officially have at least 45 growers, tackling 98 varieties of native plants. The numbers are really interesting as our growers are spread from Kitchener to Port Perry. We are also welcoming some first-time winter sowers as well as master gardeners, so we are indeed a diverse group of friends. Check out the spreadsheets below.

These are the “official” list of growers but unofficially, there will be many taking part in the groups led by Katie and myself
So the seed variety list is impressive! The colored cells with no name are seeds that I packed but were not picked up by members. They are still available for growing and I will be happy to give them to you. I will probably grow a few myself.

So one last thing to note is that I want to give a big round of applause to Linda S. who is single-handedly growing 14+ varieties! You’ll recall Linda from her amazing work leading the St. Clair church last year. This year she is “taking a break”.  🙂

Next Steps….

I will be updating this blog at least every two weeks to keep everyone connected. I am thinking of also holding zoom sessions so people can meet and chat with each other. I have had the great the priviledge of meeting and speaking with each one of you, so I know how amazing you are. Depending on the weather/COVID situation, I am also hoping to have a potting up party in my backyard in early June. I held one with St. Clair church members in their church last year and it was so much fun.

The next update will feature pictures of your plantings so send them in! I already have pictures from a few of you but it would be nice to see everyone’s setup.

Happy Growing!
