Update on seedlings

How are your seedlings doing? Many have been reaching out with pictures so I will be sharing those with you. Thanks to Pat, Veronica, Nancy and Linda for sending in pictures of their seedlings!

Pat sent in the first set of pictures and showed how she was growing milkweed seedlings indoors under her grow lights as well as our winter-sowing method. Blazing star and Zigzag goldenrod seedlings in her outdoor pots were germinating.

Veronica shared pictures of her set up as well as the Joe Pye weed and Zigzag goldenrod that has already sprouted. And remember how I had asked Nancy to update us on how her different techniques worked out for her. Check out the picture she sent of her various containers all starting to grow.

Indeed, this is all very inspirational!

The last person I am going to check in with is Linda who has been growing a phenomenal number of pots. Here are a couple that have already started growing:

A big thanks to Pat, Veronica, Nancy and Linda for sharing their pictures.

So the important thing at this point is to make sure your seedlings don’t dry out and be prepared to start potting them up into good potting soil in mid-May.  Our seedsitting group will probably meet up for a potting up session in early June. In the meantime, don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or comments.
